Maybe you would let go turn around and walk away if I promised to follow you. If I promised to never leave and stay with you until the end of time. Our time. Would you then go? Would you leave this hell far behind or would you stay and let the demons that are here continue to torture you? If I go will you come with me? Or will you stay to fend off these monsters all by yourself? Would you let me leave and find my peace my happiness my life alone as you yourself stay to only slowly fade away until there is nothing left of you simply so I could get a chance. at something better? Would you hand me your wings so I could fly away and leave while you start crumbling until there is nothing left of the angel you once were? If I go promise that you will leave with me. Promise me that you won't stay promise that you will go on this journey with me. Promise me a life where I don't have to be without you. Promise me. "What's this?" I heard a voice behind me ask. Turning around I was met by the green eyes I loved so much. The ones that could see straight into my soul read my every thought and emotion even when I tried to hide them. "Nothing." I answered with a small smile as I gazed at her. "Let me see." she giggled trying to step past me and grab the papers I had been writing on. "No. It's a surprise." I told her chuckling as she tried grabbing them again. "You know I hate surprises." she whined playfully. "I know." I said grabbing her waist pulling her away from the desk as she tried to grab the letters again. "But you will like this one. I promise." I told her and she grinned at me as she gazed into my eyes. "Hm." she hummed thinking for a second before her grin turned into a mischievous smile. "But you will have to make it up to me." she said putting a hand on my chest looking up at me. "And how do you propose I do that?" I asked her cocking up an eyebrow in question. "I think you know." she said leaning up to whisper in my ear. I laughed at her as I felt her smile into my neck where she rested her head sighing contently as I pulled her a little closer to me. What if she didn't mean it? What if the things she told him wasn't real. The promises she made was nothing but lies hidden underneath the truth? Maybe if he hadn't been so naive he would've seen how her eyes turned dark as time went by. If he hadn't been so lost in happiness and love he would've noticed how she slowly stopped smiling when she looked at him and how she froze when he would touch her. If he hadn't been in love he would've noticed how he stole her heart but never her love. He stole the beating organ that gave her life, but he didn't give her his in return. He took her breath away, but he didn't breathe new oxygen into her lungs. He took her all and he gave her nothing in return. He shook her foundation and let her crumble without trying to put her back together because he never even noticed that she had fallen apart. Even in the end he never noticed that his angel was broken. "Hey beautiful." he whispered as he wrapped his arms around my waist. The blue eyes I once loved so much was now the ones that haunted me at night. And at day they were the only nightmares that came alive. The only ones that became a reality. "Hey." I breathed out nervously my voice shaking ever so slightly though he didn't notice. He never did. "What did you do today?" he asked me as he turned me around in his arms not taking notice of it when I took as step back out of his arms my eyes not quite meeting his. "Nothing much." I said. I hadn't done much it was hard getting anything done these days. The only thing I knew how to do was hurt. "What about you?" I asked trying to remove his attention from me and instead to himself again. It was the easiest way to cope with it all these days. He didn't notice I never answered his questions or even talked at all through his story as he started blabbering about his day telling me what had happened. I couldn't concentrate the anxiety felt like it was ripping me apart as his intense stare glared right through me and I felt like he could see into my soul though I knew it was as far from the truth as I could come. He wouldn't even know what I felt if I opened up and told him about my emotions. Can an angel fall apart? Indeed, they can. They crumble as easily as humans. A few hurtful words and actions and they will be nothing, but dust crushed by the cruelty of the world. She was an angel indeed maybe even the most beautiful one the world had ever seen. And the one she loved was one just as well. The only difference was that one of them was falling apart and the other was stealing the broken pieces of their lovers life and building their own life with them. She stole the broken pieces of her lover's life and build her own with it. If parts of your world are missing is it still possible to live in it? If parts of your life are missing is it possible to live it? "What are you thinking about?" she whispered in the dark. I knew she wasn't asleep just like me she was lying awake. "Nothing." I answered as I rolled over onto my side gazing at her in the darkness the light of the moon that was shining through the open blinds danced over her beautiful face. "You're beautiful." I whispered reaching out a hand gently caressing the side of her face. "Like an angel." I told her a small smile cover my lips as I felt as grin take over her features. "I'm nothing compared to you." she answered me as she leaned forward a bit placing her own hand over mind on her cheek before placing a soft kiss on my lips. "You're a true goddess." she whispered her voice so low I barely even caught what she was saying. I felt a blush creep up my neck and cover my cheeks and was thankful for the dark as she was unable to see my red face. "I wish we lived in our own world." I told her rolling onto my back as I felt her arm wrap around my waist as she nuzzled her face into my neck. "Why?" she whispered gently her voice sleepy as I felt her yawn against the side of my neck. "Then we could just stay like this forever." I whispered as I gazed out into the dark. "I would like that." she mumbled as I felt her grib on me tighten. I smiled a soft small smile as I closed my eyes feeling her breathing even out and her body relax as she fell asleep. "If only it was so." I whispered as I felt my eyelids become heavy and I closed them sighing comfortably as I cuddled closer to her. It is not only humans that fall apart. Angels can crumble as well. As a matter of fact this world is filled with crumbling angels just waiting for someone to pick up their pieces and put them back together. If ever you meet one of these angels hand them your heart and you will recieve their love. Give them a piece of you and they will build themself a whole new life. If ever you meet a crumbling angel give them just a little bit of your love and you will be the one who put them back together. If you give them a little of your love you will have given them everything they ever needed to stop falling apart. |
